Question Is it normal to be so worried?

    Hi all

This is my first post in this section. I am currently 5 weeks with bub number one. DH and I have been TTC for four years with 6 months assisted reproduction. This little one came along when we were taking a 6 month break. So for us it really is a miracle that we are expecting. The only shadow on my joy is an intense worry I now have of miscarriage, Im so scared that after so long DH and I will have this taken away from us. Im trying not to think like this but find that these sorts of thoughts are floating around in my head. How can I stay positive and what can I do to make sure bub stays were it is?

    Hi Macca79,
For my first pregnancy I had not a clue about pregnancy. None of my sisters or friends had babies. Due to this my first pregnancy was a whole lot less stressful.

For my second pregnancy I lost the pregnancy at 6 weeks, which has done nothing but fill me in with stressful negative info. Since falling pregnant for my third I have been a mess. I wish I never knew the things I did. It gets you stressed out and worried. Please try not to listen to all the horror stories. Just think happy thoughts. Believe me, worry doesnt make things better.

    You will be fine.

Oh of course it's normal hon, have you had a look in the preg after long term ttc threads?
I spent my entire 3rd preg petrified I would lose her (for different reasons), and it really helped to chat with the ladies who felt the same - go introduce yourself, I'm sure you will feel a little better to know you aren't the only one...

Good luck, I'll keep my eye out for you in the birth announcements in about 9 months!
