    Hi
Do you just need calcium, or vitamin D as well? I'm not sure how, but they're kinda related (maybe someone else can explain...?). I need calcium for a condition i have (long story), and did need to take vitamin D as well for a while, but not anymore.
anyway, if just calcium, then caltrate is probably best bet. Little white bottles at the pharmacy. Just remember to leave a few hours gap if you taking any other medication as calcium can slow/hinder absorbtion of other stuff.
    Hope that's helpful..

Calcium tablets are good if you don't get enough from your diet - I started taking them when I got my bfp as I read that the baby drains a lot of your calcium thru pregnancy and i don't have very much in my diet. If you do decide to take them, get the Caltrate Plus as they have zinc and magnesium too which you need to absorb the calcium, otherwise it is wasted. From what my doc said there is no risk in taking them, so I figure you may as well.

I started talking calcium/magnesium before getting pg as it is suppose to increase the chances of having girl and then comtinued on and off during pg for cramping. I just got the cheapest ones at the supermarket. As another poster said, I believe they are suppose to have the mag and zinc in them for absorption
