Question In pain and nothing helps :(

    Hi Guys,

I woke up with bad pain in my left side this morning and its been bugging me all day. I went to the doctor and she sent me off for an ultrasound and found that bub was fine and that there was nothing visible causing the pain. My blood pressure was up a bit, but we both expected that.

My doc thinks i might have an irritable tube. most likely caused by the repeated surgeries for cysts on my tube and ovaries over the past 12 months. 4 surgeries in that time

my doc told me to try panadol and heat packs, and if it gets worse, to ring the midwives and if need be to go and see them. the pain isn't getting worse, but it isn't getting any better either. i dont think it justifies bugging the midwives with, of course, if it got worse, then i'd ring them.

so far i've taken panadol, done my relaxation exercises, got my hottie out on my belly and rested most of the afternoon and evening, but nothing seems to be helping.

im not going to the loo any more than normal, and there's nothing untoward there after i've been, if you know what i mean.

and the worst part is that i have to go to work tomorrow. i've already taken one sickie this week, so if i take another one, my boss really wont be impressed. he'll understand but there are just too many people after my job right now to start annoying him, IYKWIM.

so guys, have you experienced this? should i be worried when my doctor obviously isn't?

    hope to hear soon

    Jenna

PS. sorry if you're getting annoyed with all my posts, i dont mean to bug you guys!

Hey Jenna sorry to hear your in pain that really sucks! I've only had muscle pain in the lower abdom usually when standing up quickly but it goes away instantly, probably just stretching and growing plus I've had 2 c/s in that area and the muscles around the scar tends to feel a bit tender . Have you heard of scatica?? I think that's how you spell it the dr didn't susspect that? and the panadol didn't work at all? I can't think what else you could do, heat packs? I hope it gets better soon ((hugs))

    thanks guys,

i asked doc about sciatica because i have had issues due to a back injury. she was pretty non-committal but didn't appear worried so im tending to take my cues from her.

the pain has eased a bit today, thank god, so im happier. i've learnt a few things lately though, things like sitting down slowly, same for getting up or i have a tendency to fall down from lack of blood up in the brain region lol

im keeping an eye on the pain, heat packs are helping a little, either that or its just a comfort thing, either way im happier.

    Regards
    Jenna
