    Peace of mind

Hi am 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child, and noticed last night on toilet paper some thick bloody mucus, a bit later it was like stringy light pink and then a light brown colour, went to my doctors today and was told unless I'm bleeding really heavy or have stomach cramps it should be ok, have had the same again today, if it continues I might need to have an early scan next week, I have no cramps and feel fine, just a bit scared when I notice the blood on the toilet paper and its not every time, is this normal.

It sounds totally normal. Your body can still have enough hormones to get you to bleed a little bit in early pregnancy, plus (from what your explaining) it could be implantation bleeding. But if you feel worried its always best to talk to your dr. Hugs, and hoping for a h&h pg for you.

Yes, sounds fairly 'common and normal'. Unfortunately there is not much you can do, otherwise than rest and keep an eye on it. Any increased blood/bleeding, pain/cramping then go back and ask for and ultrasound and a blood test to see if your hormones are rising. Best of luck
