Please help me fix my legs!!

    Hi All,

Since getting PG I am having the most awful restless legs ever!

Nearly every night I stretch my calves & hamstrings before bed but then I spend at least an hour lying there, cursing my legs! They drive me insane & they are so uncomfortable.

I end up sitting up, stretching them, standing up, stretching them and even walking around the house

Im over it! Does anyone else experience this or have any ideas on how to ease this? Other than going for walks which I'm doing too

    Thank you xox

I had the WORST restless leg in the world from about 28 weeks onwards. Like the worst. I cried at least 2 nights a week.
I stretched every night before bed and at least 2-3 times after I went to bed, I was eating like 8 Schuessler Mag Phos tissue salt tablets and then there is an under the tongue sprey too. Both of them are from the health food shop.
The chewable ones are better than the capsules because they dissolve easier, there is also a liquid mag that was pretty good.

I had it severely, and my hips kept going out which didn't help... so in my case all the stuff above definietly helped but I still had it pretty bad. There isn't a real definite cause but magnesium deficiency is the most common cause it seems and 60% of pg women have a mag deficiency.

Also have potassium (a banana before bed) and calcuim, make sure your iron is good too cause those 3 things can affect restless leg and massage helps heaps!! DH was massaging my legs almosy every night in the last 4weeks and those nights were waay better than when he didn't!

Good luck cause I KNOW how much it sucks!!!

I had this to really bad!!! Although it's not medically proven I strongly believe it's a potassium imbalance... I started eating bananas and went and bought Natures own Mega Magnesium, it contains potassium and zinc... My Rls has completely gone ! I recommend giving this a try

Yeah potassium definitely helped!! Banana before bed worked Better than not eating one! Potassium and mag work together.

I had it really bad...and it got worse each pregnancy.
I remember being in tears with it also.
Banana's helped and also making sure I had drunk plenty of water...a little bit of dehydration made it so much worse.
I also used to find a shower helped...I could quite often be found at 3am sitting in the bottom of the shower.

    I second the magnesium..
I had restless legs when depressed - and vitamin B really helped all my symptoms including the restless legs..
