hello i just wanted to know if anyone else out there has been told they have a retroverted uterus or tilted uterus??
with my last pregnancy (m/c) i was told I have a tilted uterus.. just wondering if anyone on here has this and has actually carried baby to full term or if it caused any problems??
I've got one nearly 18mo and am ready to pop with my second so it hasn't affected me at all!
The only thing I was told was that I would probably show later than usual as it had to tilt forward iykwim??
I have this. It doesn't really have any impact on pregnancy nor does it mean you have a higher risk of miscarriage (speaking generally now, not specifically about myself).
I have one as well.
I have had two m/c's but nothing to with that.
As others have said already it has no bearing on your pregnancy or risk of miscarriage.
First preg mine was normal.
This preg I was retroverted til 11 or 12 weeks, then by 13 it righted itself, the clever thing.
Only dramas I had were 1. had to have internal ultrasounds while it was tilted and 2. couldn't have a cvs while it was tilted as the doc couldn't access the right bits.
As some of the other girls have said, I also have a retroverted uterus and no probs here. Although I didn't know it could correct itself? Should have asked my gyn/ob when I saw him for a pap smear last week.
No probs conceiving, no m/cs that we are aware of and no probs carrying to term. Completely unrelated problem when it came to giving birth, so theoretically no problems there either.
Good luck with your pg!
