Scans? (esp Tassie)

Hi all,

I've been having a read around on posts, and I've noticed a lot of you are going in for scans at 7-8 weeks. I'm just over 7 weeks and I'm not scheduled for any scans until 12 weeks. Is this normal? I've had the routine blood tests/screens, but other than that I don't see anyone again until 12 weeks. I know it probably varies from place to place, so if there are any northern Tasmanian girls out there who can tell me their experiences, that would be a great help! Thanks.

Both times I had nothing until 12 weeks. I think it does depend on person and on Dr. My Dr didn't offer anything earlier, so I just waited. LOOOOONG wait!! xo

im in vic and i had nothing till 12 weeks. early scan are only done if there is a history of problemsm theres bleeding or to work out an EDD.

I'm in Launceston and didn't have my first scan until 12 weeks. As PP suggested, I think the early scans tend to be for higher risk cases

Thanks all - it's so hard to know what's 'normal' in all this pregnancy stuff! Well, I guess I've just got another 5 weeks to wait... such a long time!
