    Severe sickness

On Friday night, I was admitted to hospita and put on IV fluids etc because I couldn't stop vomiting, or keep any fluids down. I came home yesterday, still feeling very rough.

Any tips of what to eat with such severe m/s?

I have no appetite, but was told if I don't eat, the ms will be worse.

    Thanks x

Oh baby, been there done that, but I couldn't bring myself to eat still, lost so much, look even if you don't eat, the baby is still ok, they'll just suck more energy out of you.

But the do say try to eat little bits of toast or little bits of anything you think you could stomach.

Thinkinh of you hun, it's dreadful I know.

Oh you poor thing! I have been feeling rather off lately, no vomiting. I wish I would just vomit sometimes but after reading your post maybe not!

I have found salt and vinegar chips to be my cure!. Strange but true!

    Awww Gwen, you poor chook.

Have you tried ginger beer / ginger ale? Anything with ginger is supposed to be good for m/s.

Maybe try burning some lavendar oil.

Vitamin B6 is supposed to be good, but I'm not sure on the dosage (check with the Dr) and also peppermint tea.

I was exactly the same. time in hospital, IV fluids. Water wouldn't even stay down. But then this old midwife at my hospital told me to try soup. And it worked. I could only keep down little bits and it wasn't satisfying but it was better than nothing!!

I agree - S&V chips calmed my stomach, too.

I've had some pretty bad m/s last time & this time around I've had a few bile days where nothing has stayed in my stomach. I find on those days the most important thing for me to settle besides ginger ( I can't stand the flavour) is high electrolyte drinks like poweraide, sometimes a good ol lemonaide will do it, but red poweraide always does the trick.
