    slap cheek in early pregnancy

There is an old thread on slap cheek (human parvo, fifth disease) but it relates mainly to later exposure.

I've just realised that this is what DS has had the last couple of weeks. Was a bit of a moment really.

I'm only about 6 1/2 weeks and the contagious period would have been 2 weeks ago. I am aware of concern when exposure is between 9-20weeks, but i'm at a bit of a road block with advice.

I've rung my doctor and requested a blood test to check immunity but she wasn't sure of what would happen just in case there was a positive test. She said they'd have to 'get advice'.

DO I need to be worried, does anyone know?

Hi Kim, I was exposed early pg too. Blood test came back all clear. But even when I called OB to say I'd been exposed he didn't seem too concerned. Just hold out till your results then worry about it if you have to! Fingers crossed all is fine xox

    Hello lovely,

I had exposure when I was pg with Liam and was told the risk is pretty low.

Here's a link Slapped Cheek for you.

    everything is fine.
