Hi All,
I am 10 weeks pg with my first, no morning sickness, no problems at all
Except....I'm tired all the time. I am in bed and out cold during the week by 9pm, weekends maybe 11pm but
I have naps during the day.
I work in an office in Melbourne CBD, I have a good brekky, lunch and healthy snacks (lots of veggies, fruit, water, nuts etc)
Have been walking for 30 min at lunch time just around the park...or Yarra ( I have done this since before my pg)
Its gets to about 2 or 3pm and I feel my eyes droop and all I can think about is sleep. Would happily put my head down for a snooze!
Its that bad that if i stare at the computer long enough I will doze off.
Have tried every thing: high protein lunch, walking, early nights and even having a nap in the gardens at lunch.
Being only 10 weeks I have not told people at work about my news...but I'm worried people will think I have a problem or something.
Any tips on keeping my energy up during the day? Or is this something that will stop? Thoughts?
Big hugs hun - tiredness in early preg is the pits. Had it super bad with this one, would often be thinking of bed by 8-9pm and after lunch at work was less than fun. It does eventually get a bit better as things progress, but visits again towards the end. In the meantime, rest as much as you can get away with and keep going with the high protein diet. I did find a cup of lemongrass tea or peppermint tea was good for a pick me up for the mid afternoon snoozies as well.
Much sympathy, soon as I found out I was pregnant I wasn't able to stay awake past 9pm, only recently that stopped. The after lunch tiredness did go away, but came back again in the third tri.
Just be sure to keep our fluids up amd rest when you need to. Before 15 weeks I couldnt eat anything other than potato chips and things due to Morning Sickness so that made me even more tired.
Tea was also a big saviour, but I just had normal english breakfast
