wanting to do HPT Early, cant wait

Hi,

I am new to this site, I can't wait any longer to do a hpt.

Bought one which says test can be done as 5 days prior to period.

The brand i bought was First Resonse, never tried this one before.

I am due between this Friday & Sunday (get between 26 - 28 day cycles).

Just want some advice as to when I should test.

I suspected I was pregant 2 months ago, did hpt Fortel 3 days AF, and it shows a faint line, went to docs following day as got AF early & he did BT. BT came back with a reading of 2, he said that I was difinatley not pregnant, still felt symptoms for ages, then gave up.

I have the same symptoms this month round, sore nipples (purplish in colour), very senstive, my stomach is soo much bigger, eating heaps more, and from yesterday started going to the toilet like every hour.

I just want to know as I am going insane with waiting.

I'd suggest not to test until the day your AF is due because that's when they are most accurate. I know some tests say you can test way early but most people get negatives on them even if they are pregnant unless it's a day or two before AF is due.

If your AF was due this weekend then test. If you are talking about next weekend then wait until Saturday or Sunday to test as it would be way to early to get a result.

I am due on oct 14, but it has been nore like 27 - 26 days cycles, don't normally get the 28 day one anymore. So you don't recommend to test on Thurs morning or maybe Friday?

well Satya is right is waiting until af is due but I am like you and test early as I have no patience! I tested and got a great bfp on 10 dpo 4 days before af was due. So I guess it is up to you but be prepared to get a bfn as an early bfp isn't always what happens as it is very early and anything can happen.

I used the same test two days before af was due and it was negative and then i tested on the day i was due and it was positive and now 7 weeks pregnant so i would wait but if af does not show after a negative reusult then just do another one it does not hurt!

I went to the dr about something different and her pg test showed my pregnancy at 4 days past af due. So, try to wait!
