This means that the subchorionic heammhorhage is the area where the bleeding started from. Basically it is like a bruise under the placenta. Because the U/S says there is some fluid around the cervical canal, you will probably find you have some more brownish (old blood) like discharge over the next week or so. Most of the time the heamhorraghe means nothing but just take it easy for a while, no heavy lifting etc. They will have a look at the 18 week scan for the heamhorrhage and like bruises most of them have disappeared or gotten smaller.
