    Sudden weightloss

I just weighed myself as i had suspected i have gained some weight as i have been eating non stop.

But was very surprised to see i have infact lost a total of 9kgs since falling pregnant. Its not a huge deal as im sure no one can tell ive lost it. But the last 4kgs have been in the last week or so.

Should i be concerned that my weight has dropped? everywhere i have read has said i should be gaining weight and to see my GP if i am losing.

    Any advice is appreciated.

I lost weight in my last pregnancy, but I was a big girl to start with. The calories my body was burning because I was growing a bub was more than I was eating, so I lost weight!

Could be nothing, could be something.... go to the doc to be sure.

Yeah i was thinking maybe i am burning more than i am eating as to be honest i am ALWAYS starving but don't give in as i really don't want to gain an excessive amount of weight so i usually have an apple or mandarin if my belly grumbles.

I will mention it at my next appt just to be sure.

I've lost a total of 12kgs so far with this pregnancy and I was assuming the same thing - that my body is using the calories to grow up instead of me lol.

My gp takes note of my weight each visit and she hasn't mentioned anything except stating that I've lost more weight - mind you I definitely had some to lose to begin with!

If your worried I would get it checked at your next appt just to be sure all is good.

4kgs is a lot of weight to loose in just one week... Are you sure that's correct? Do you weigh yourself at the same time of day? First thing in the morning, after having a wee, is the best time to get an accurate weight.

If you are sure it is 4kgs in a week, I would probably be talking to my care provider to make sure that weight loss that is that dramatic is ok. You may need to look at your diet... Of course, I'm no expert, but for me I tend to think that any more than a 2kg (at the most) in one week, especially when pregnant, is cause to be concerned
