    Ouch - it hurts!!

My tummy is full of yukky gas! I'm so bloated and sore - its horrible!!!!

What can I do to try and ease it? Does that "de-gas" stuff from the chemist work???

    Help!

I haven't heard of what you are talking about , what about a fizzy drink to try and make you burp?
Might be a silly question..are you sure it's gas and not constipation?

Not sure if you can take it while pregnant, but the best thing ever is Crampeze.
Have you tried laying flat on your back for a while??

Is it Enox or something like that that your talking about?

I havn't tried it myself but I have been told it works for bloating.

Hope you feel better soon OP

Thanks guys... might take a wander to the chemist and see what they've got. I just remember seeing something called "de-gas" somewhere...

Walking seems to help, sitting is bad... can't really lie down at work sadly...

I might get a mineral water or something at lunch time too... burping helps a bit...

Heather... without going TMI... I've had a bit of the runs for the last few nights round 9pm (dunno what that's about) so I'm pretty sure its not constipation...

Try lying on one side for a few mins then change to the other side. Do this a few times over, it helps the gas to travel through the intestines and come out hehe. I have IBS and my gastroenterologist suggested this. It really helps with bloating.

Sitting and having anything tight around your middle makes it worse! Make sure you stand up and stretch out your tummy regularly during the work day. Make an excuse to go and walk around to talk to someone so that you aren't sitting for too long at any time. Also eat small but often so your tummy doesn't have to digest a lot at once. I remember how hideously bloated I was in the first tri with DD2 so I can empathise!!

A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in hot water. Honey to taste. Drink. Then another cup and sip throughout the day.

I had shocking wind pain... like, doubled over, tears in my eyes kind of pain. It actually started to stress me out, because it wouldn't go away.

De-Gas rocks. I used to take it in the morning with my vitamins and then again when I got home from work and it really helped.

I'll second walking around too. I know it's hard at work, but sitting down was not helping at all.

I would take some Benefibre as well, even though I didn't really have any issues in the constipation department... it did help though, made sure everything was nice and regular.

Soda water with some lemon / lime helped with the burping and helped release some of the air too. Even now, if I start to feel the pain and I'm out and about, I'll get a small coke from McD's or have a mouthful of DH's softdrink just to try and shift it.

I hope you feel better soon hun.

Thanks guys. Definitely going to try the cider/water thing when I get home and the lying on each side, thank you for the suggestions.

I got myself some de-gas and I've just popped a couple - the walk at lunch helped! Nic - did you take one or two each time?

I thought I could do without the maternity clothes for a bit longer but it seems that if this bloating continues I'll need to break em out soon - these suit pants are just too tight I think!

I think I only took one at a time, except the day it was really bad, I took 2 then.

As soon as I stopped trying to squish my tummy into normal clothes and started wearing maternity clothes, the pain eased too.

I hope you're feeling better this afternoon x

    From memory, not too long.

Can you sit at your desk with your pants undone? I've done that more times than I care to admit

When I had bad gas, I was advised to walk and do some gentle yoga. Avoid foods which make you gassy like, beans, cabbage, onions, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus and corn; fruits like pears, apples, prunes and peaches; milk, ice cream and cheese; and carbonated drinks. Drink lots of water, slowly (particularly warm water with the juice of half a lemon). Eat small frequent meals, slowly. Wear loose comfy clothes. And try some peppermint tea, it has a relaxing and soothing effect on the gut.

I *may* already be doing that. I can neither confirm nor deny.

    I'm feeling better already.
