Too early to go to doctor?

    Hi All!

Got my BFP last Thursday and am now according to my dates 4 weeks 4 days.

Is it too early to go to see my doctor? Should I wait til I'm at least 5 weeks?

    Cheers!

not too early - most doctors are happy to see you once you have a BFP & especially if you've missed your AF (or at least past the day it would normally have started).

    congratulations

Not at all. I went at 4 weeks both times as I needed referrals to my OB as he books out if you leave it too late

yeah, i'd go in and start getting referrals for where you would like to give birth (unless you are having baby at home, then you would call your independent midiwfe). many places do book out fast (like birth centres and some private OBs) so it does pay to get in fast.

I got my BFP at 10dpo so was 3wks 4days and went to my doc the following day, had a blood test at 3wks 5days. Def not to early to get a blood test and all confirmed!
I am going private so once bt confirmed I also got ob referral and rang the ob that same day to book in

Its best to go early, because (if your hospital was like mine) it was tough to get in for your 12 week scan. So the earlier you can get a referral for your scan, the better.

    (congrats by the way!)
