Ultrasound photos

I don't know if this is the right section for this so mods please move to a more suitable section if there is one.

I had a scan today (at 8 weeks, 5 days) and got a photo, but DH doesn't want to look at it. He doesn't want to go to any scans or see anything like that coz he wants to wait until bub is born and see it face to face.

It makes me sad that he doesn't want to see it. I would like to know if anyone else's partners have been like that?

I can understand how that would make you sad!

Maybe it is his way of staying unattached until he meets the baby kwim?

I know what its like hun-my DH seemed a bit disinterested (sounds harsh but true) in photos and appointments etc. He was excited but not by things that I thought would interest him. Even after our 20 week scan where you could see heaps - I was saying things like "wasnt it amazing - that was our baby" and he would say "it looked like a black screen with white stuff on it" pfffftt, men.

Anyway just wanted to reassure you - because once we got to a few weeks before her birth he was beside himself and now that she is here, it has been priceless. He is so smitten and in love with his little girl and thats all that matters. I know its hard, but hopefully he will get more excited as time goes by. Hugs to you..
