    Question Worming?

    Hi everyone,

Just had the question of whether you are able to worm yourself in early pregnancy? I normally worm DH myself at the same time I do our cats and have no idea if it is safe to do so or not. Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks so much,
    Nita xxx

No idea Nita! (haha, how's this for a helpful post ) But - can you give your dr or hospital a quick call? They should know. Does the medicine packet say not to use when pregnant?

Check with the chemist, I was able to have a chemists brand whilst b/fing so it may be safe, but defineately check with the chemist.

No it's certainly not safe to use worming medications in pregnancy - especially early pregnancy. They are effectively pesticides and have the potential to cause harm to a developing embryo/fetus.

So, do your son and your cats but steer clear of yourself. In some really bad cases it is used later in the pregnancy but now when your baby is developing so very much it's a no no.

I would advise you to avoid doing this if possable. Most preperations are category B2
