    Vitamin A in Skincare

    Hi there

I've just purchased a package of Roc RetinOx day and night moisturizer from the chemist and only noticed when I was taking it out of the packaging that it contains Vitamin A (prolly should have checked before). It is a pretty common brand found in chemists and priceline so can't be too high in Vit A, but I am now wondering if I should avoid it.

Are store bought costmetics generally ok or should these be avoided, particularly in the first trimester? Any advice would be welcome!

    Thanks
    Maj

Hey Majella, better late than never to reply to your post!

From the copious amounts I've read so far (lucky I'm not too busy at work, tee hee), it's best to avoid it altogether just to be on the safe side. I had a face mask that contained Vitamin A and I stopped using it.

Hope this helps, good luck for a h&h pg!

    I agree, I'd avoid it.
I wanted to get a facial done this week and my salon told me that they were reluctant to do it because most of their facial products contain Vitamin A.

    *sigh*

Have to find other ways to be pampered I guess!

Or you could possibly look into salons that use organic skin products which would be safe?

Congrats on passing your 12 weeks too

    Thank you Grrroxi!
That is a really good idea, looking into the natural products. I didn't even think to do that!!
