A couple of days ago we had an ultrasound!!! But it was an emergency one.
It was 6:30 in the morning and i'd decided to walk over to my mums (about five streets away from my house) and about halfway there i collapsed on the footpath outside some shops. Not good.

This lovely lady Anne found me and woke me up and called an ambulance for me. I went to hospital and they took my blood pressure on the way there and they thought i had High Blood Pressure (eek!!!). So when i got there i had to get all these heart tests, which turned out ok, my heart rate slowed down after an hour or so. They put me on a drip and left me to rest for a while.

After an hour or so, the doctor came in to tell me that they were going to get me in for an ultrasound. What they didn't tell me was that they thought the bub was outside of the uterus!!! No one told me!

The nurse tells me to fill my bladder up, so i do. When i'm feeling pretty damn full they ring up to get me in, and no one can find the sonographer! So the nurse tells me to go to the bathroom because it might be a while. So i do. (no easy feat with a drip in your "wiping hand")
Then as soon as i manage to get back in bed, bumping my horrendously grazed arm (from falling on concrete) as i go, yelping in pain, the nurse comes back in to tell me that "sorry, we found the sonographer, and you need to fill your bladder up again quickly".

*sigh*

I do, my partner who has finally woken up at home and checked his phone (on silent of course, i'd been trying to call him all morning to tell him i'm in hospital) rings me, and tells me he's on his way. I say "you had better hurry up because they're taking me in for an ultrasound and your going to miss it"
I can hear the grin in his voice as he says "well then i guess it's good i bought a supercharged car huh?"

He get's there just as they're starting to wheel me out. Thank god.
We get into the ultrasound offices, and my teeth are chattering i need to go to the bathroom so badly. Lay me down and lo and behold....there is my little baby.

Sooooo tiny!!! Yes, i did manage to put needing to pee out of my head long enough to appreciate what i was seeing.
3.13cm's, heart rate of 165bpm, and sooooooo cute.
We found out i'm a little off with my ticker, we're actually 9wks 5days. Due on August 5th.

Suddenly i notice the sonographer is squinting at the monitor with a weird look on his face, i immediately freak out, demanding to know whats wrong.
He smiles at me and says, "nothing, it just your baby won't stop moving enough to get a good picture, it looks perfectly healthy, besides from the fact the sac looks a little small".

At this point my Drummer DP pipes up with "It looks like it's headbanging!! I knew all that rock music we play in the car would pay off!!!"
