what have you used for morning sickness?

I am 14 weeks pregnant and had quite bad morning sickness since around 6-7 weeks. Nothing helped at all until my Dr prescribed Ondansetron when I was about 7 weeks and since then I have been taking 4mg most days, if I don't take it I am vomiting constantly and can't keep anything down. The GP told me it was used quite widely for morning sickness but have been reading some mixed things about it and starting to feel a bit worried, has anyone else taken it for morning sickness??

I haven't myself, but my sister did for her whole pregnancy with her DD, and she was still sick! She had bad hyperemesis though.

Bubs was fine, (she was sick, but that was from other drugs she was taking and as a result went into withdrawal once she was born) and there wasn't any effects to her from that drug..

Not sure what else to say, Hun I know how sucky MS can be, I lost 25kg in the first half from being so bad.. I hope it stops soon for u!

Sweetheart, dont you worry yourself. Most of the girls on here who have suffered Hyperemisis Gravidarium (sp?) have taken Zofran wafers religiously for very extended periods. I suffered HG with DD and maxalon didnt work, took it from 7 weeks through till 20 weeks, stopped then because the vomiting was only about 6 tmes a day by then and I could deal with that. By then had lost at least 15 % of my body weight. It is safe IMO it just hasnt been as widely used as Maxalon. HTH

Sorry, what I also meant to include is that DD is absolutely positively perfect! No side effect, no illnesses and a healthy 7lb 9oz

Thanks so much for the replies that makes me feel much better. I did try Maxalon first but it did nothing, the ondansetron has been so good there is no way I would have been able to continue working without it.
