I am only 5 weeks along and am starting to get really worn out. I was like this with DS but feel it a bit more this time because I can't sit down and put my feet up when I want too like with my first pregnancy. DS is really active and getting more and more mobile. He has started trying to pull himself up onto things which means being extra vigilant. I love him dearly but man I wish he would go back to 3 sleeps a day again.
Throw into he pot the ligament pain I am getting on my sides. It was the same 1st time round but I swear I am noticing it more. Anyway its all good. I just wish a bit more sleep would come my way .
Last time I finished work about 13 weeks (long story ) and it was great as I could rest heaps. This time around though with an active toddler I am stuffed!! I try and rest where I can during the day and I always have a lot to do at night as I have my own business so I can't really go to bed early. I'd "try" and rest as much as you can hun, I know it's easier said than done but even if you can just rest it will help a little.
I don't have other children, but was totally eshausted just getting up to go to work from week 5 to 10. I would yawn at 9.30 in the morning and want to go home and go to bed. I am really thankful the tiredness has decreased. I hope yours does too.
I was like this with #2. (I have been too sick this time to notice if I am exhausted or not with this one). All I can say is hang in there it does get 'a little' better. rest whenever you can. my first born got good at entertaining herself in the cot/or her room when I was pregnant with no2. I left her with plenty of water and toys and left the baby monitor on and then would lay down and sleep while she played. I did feel guilty doing this, but when you are that exhausted there is relly ot much choice.
You might also want to get your iron levels checked. good luck.
Oh yes, I remember that well. It is definitely more tiring the second time around and no wonder when you are already looking after a toddler! But don't worry, like your first pg, the dreadful exhaustion does ease once you are past the first trimester. I think it's that placenta building that takes so much out of us. You will still be tireder througout the pg than last time, but it will get better than it is now for you. Hang in there, it is worth it!!
