    Yuk subject but Canesten?

Is it safe to use Canestan/Canesten (however it's spelt). Just have an icky feeling down there - i woudnt say it is at the moment, also is it normal for your bladder to almost hurt when you know you need to pee? I know when i need to go because my bladder starts to ache when i move about - infection maybe? no stinging when i wee though

get yourself checked by GP - it's possible you have a UTI, but the pressure may just be from being pg
you can also talk to gp about getting a dose of canestan (or similar) that is gentler - you take it over, from memory, six days instead of 1 or 3 - it's just as effective but "safer" when pregnant.

I required canestan while pregnant with DS the pharmicist gave me the 6 day cream and said not to use the applicator but to use my finger and apply when needed.

My bladder hurt when needing to pee when the babies were putting pressure on my bladder, at this stage i wouldn't say its normal so i would get checked out as could be a UTI.

Sounds like a UTI. I had a UTI last month, it started out like a dull pain and then got full on. I never had the burning sensation either, I would suggest a trip to the Doctor. You need to go on AB's if it's a UTI, better to get it before it gets bad.

Yep, possibly a UTI, you should definitely go to your GP, all you have to do is pee in a bottle! Had one earlier this month, had antibiotics and fine now! Pee'd again in the bottle yesterday to check and make sure it was gone!

I had the yucky feeling down there and some mild cramping!.... thought it was just PG stuff but turned out to be a UTI! Lucky my OB checks EVERYTHING when she also gets NT bloods done! Very common apparently!
