Question 33 weeks and bleeding (TMI alert) Advice/reassurance please

I know that there is a bleeding sticky, but it seemed to be mostly about early bleeds...

To warn this will be full of TMI!

On Monday, i was at work and i felt a gush of warm liquid, bigger than a CM leak. I went to the toilet and there was bright blood on my liner.
I called my OB and was one of the girls that i work with took me to hossy for monitoring.

When i got there the nurse assumed that i was over reacting and told me to take off my pad so she could see, i explained that i had binned my first one (woops) and it had been full and i wasnt bleeding as much now.... Anyway, i took it off and when i handed it to her her eyes bulged and she said "this is not good, this is really not good'.... Oh gee thanks for that reassurance!!!!

Anyway i had CTG and bubs was happy, OB came around and said that i had to stay over night as if i bled again, bubs would have to come out... I was freaking out

Anyway then next 12 hours nothing came out, not even CM.

When i woke the next morning i had a tiny ween bt of old blood, i mentioned this to the midwife, but we both agreed that it was probably just the CM stained...
Had more monitoring that day and then went home...

Following day, old blood stained CM present, had more monitoring, bubs still good, mentioned the old blood but nothing was said...

Its now Friday, im now 34+1 weeks and i am still having old blood stained CM - is this normal? How long should this go on for?
    Should i be concerned?

    THanks in advance

Sorry I don't have any personal experience but after reading a few stories today I think you should get it checked out. You should be enjoying your last few weeks rather than worrying... and getting reassured that something is normal and fine by maybe an ultrasound etc would ease your mind extremely

    Best of luck

Some old bleeding after a fresh bleed is to be expected, however I would still be getting checked until there is no more blood. It's been a few days since you were last checked and it won't hurt to speak to a midwife, even if you can't get an appointment with your OB.

Thanks guys, OB appointment is on Tuesday morning first thing.
He told me to call if i am worried or any fresh bleeding.

I know that bubs is fine, its moving and wriggling around as normal and the CTG's have been perfect, i just hate the fact that at 34 weeks last time round i just plodded along, now i feel like its the first 10 weeks all over again where i am constantly checking when i go to the toilet.

I really enjoy pregnancy and this has sort of taken all the fun and excitement of the last few weeks

I wouldn't wait until Tuesday hon. See if you can see your OB this afternoon. It probably is just old blood but I know I would be worrying until my OB could reassure me all was ok.
