3D/4D Scans

Just wondering if anyone has had a 3D/4D scan done around the 22 week mark and how good it was?
I know that they recommend them from 26 - 32 weeks but it just isn't possible for us to do the scan in that time frame as we live regional but i have just booked in for one at 22 weeks and i'm really hoping i'm not wasting $100.

I had one at 16 weeks and it was perfect
I have hear 20 week mark is good? A tech said they start getting a bit squishy looking and a bit tricky to get a good pic at 35+ weeks?

I had a quick one done at 18w6d during my anatomy scan. The baby did look a bit scary as they don't have much fat at that point. (or maybe my baby is just scary looking!)
The sonographer said that 28 weeks is the best time to have it done as they are chubby then and still have lots of room in there. To be honest I wouldnt get one done again that early but if you don't have a choice then go for it! It's still great to see your baby on 4D just don't be alarmed by their looks!

Ok i'm ready to see my scary baby.. I was also hoping to use it as a double check on the sex of bub too

I had one at 12 wks, 18wks and about 31wks. They are all good but i much rather liked the 31wk one as baby was looking chubby and looking like himself then, the others he looked more like a skinned rabbit really lol.

My OB has a 4D machine so I've been getting them weekly (I have to have weekly scans to check the heart). The best I've seen bub look on the 4D was a few weeks ago (30 weeks) but around the 20 week mark was also great.

We had them at our major scans at 12, 20 and 32 weeks. The 32 week ones were by far the best. We've put one of the shots from that scan in a little frame. It looks so much like DD.

The later the better I say. DD still looked a bit alien like at the 20 week one. She was very much a cute baby at the 32 week one

I had one with DD's pregnancy, at the 32 week mark it was awesome!

I had one done at 22 weeks and you can still see bub etc..the sono just said its alot better later because the baby puts on more fat etc..

I would still get it done if i were you and couldnt later as it is still amazing
