Abit of a random question....

Please excuse if this doesnt make much sense... I have crazy pregnant brain at the moment, but have a question I'd like to ask!


With my first pregnancy, I had terrible MS and was constantly tired and cranky... I had a girl.

With my this pregnancy (I know its only early days!), but I have experienced VERY little MS or nauseas feeling, do not feel tired and am actually quiet NON-emotional...

My DP, and father of the child I am carrying, is not the father of my daughter. Do you think, that its possible to have completely different pregnancies, yet have the same sex baby? (I've just heard so much about people having different pregnancies and having different sex babies...)

Could the hormones/genetics from my DP effect me in a different way to what my Ex's did?

I'd just love to have another little girl... Ultimately, it doesnt matter what we have, but I'm hoping we are in with a chance for a girl. (He has 2 sons to his Ex-Wife... and seems to think he only makes boys. LOL)

Are there any Mamas on here who have had a child to one man, then had a child to another man (with a completely different prengnancy) but had the same sex ??

I personally dont think m/s and other pg symptoms play any role in the sex of the baby.

I have two boys(same father) and had two VERY different pregnancies.

I'm the same as Sally. I had completely different pregnancies, and have had 2 girls.

See, I'm different... My pregnancies with my girls were pretty much the same. Severe ms til around 4.5 months, then eased off til around 7 months.
With DS ms was very minimal. I went from throwing up around 20 times a day some days with the girls, to maybe twice a day with DS. With DS I had SPD, but didn't with the girls.
All have the same father though.
I think it all just comes down to you & your body TBH

Definately, I have 2 boys with DS1 I had M/S for a couple of months but nothing too bad and with DS2 I wasn't sick at all.

As for the different father factor I'm not sure but have wondered that myself.
DS1and2 have the same father but I'm now repartnered and pg with #3 and I have only just recovered from the HORRENDOUS morning sickness, I was bedridden for 9 weeks with a bucket much sicker than I was with DS1, permanent headache and vision problems and low blood pressure.
I did wonder if the different hormones from having a different dad could influence it.

As for the sex of this one well I don't know and I'm not going to find out, I want the surprise so I'l have to let you know in about 4and a half months

This is what I had with my DD! I was terrified of being pregnant again, as I thought it would be the same.

We are going to find out what we are having, so I will know soon enough...

My pregnancies were total opposites, and I had 2 boys.
We actually thought DS2 would be a girl because his pregnancy was so so different to DS1.

You're very brave going for #2!! I think this is def the last for me, we didn't really have plans for more than one but after this pregnancy so far I think I'm closing up shop.

With the vision problems you had, did you have complete vision loss at any time? I was monitored in hospital and sent to eye doctors etc, but no-one could tell me anything about this bloody vision problem. I would wake up and I would be completely blind, and it would last generally between 4-8hrs at a time. Happened at least once a week.
Am hoping and praying it doesnt happen again this time!

With my DS1 I had loads of morning sickness... I would get to work and go straight to the toilet and vomit, it was terrible... this lasted the entire duration of my pregnancy with him.
With my DD, I had little to no vomitting or nausea. Both kids to the same father.

Then I met my DH and fell pregnant with a boy. I was sick all over again like I was with my DS1, and would get nausea when not vomitting and was constantly dizzy and just felt yuck in general.
With our second son together I had nausea only, no vomitting but still the same light headed dizziness, especially in shopping centres.
I have the same symptoms this time around (nausea only, dizziness etc) but have no idea what I am carrying.
