    Question Acupuncture

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has had acupuncture done to try and help kickstart labor? I had this done today and i had two needles in each ankle and nothings happening. Has this worked for anyone?

I had this done, first session at 38 weeks, 2nd session at 39 weeks. DD arrived a day before her due date.

    Hi

I started a similar thread in 3rd tri discussion a few months ago.

From what I have read and heard - it is definitely worth a try - I am seeing someone this time around monthly until I reach 37 weeks, then we will start some labour prep treatment. Success and how many treatments you need depends on the position of bubs (acupuncture is worth trying for a stubborn breech bubba too) - and if bubs has dropped down a bit or still sitting high up etc.

    Good luck!!

My accupuncturist has people it works for and some it doesn't. I truly believe it only works if it's your time. I have tried everything to bring on labour (and DD2 came 8 days early) but I still think it was because she decided to, not because I decided!! My best tip though, nipple stimulation because this will give you contractions. (well it did for me,). xo

    weird feeling

Since yesterday i have been feeling a little weird and tired. The baby has hardly moved around and lastnight i just couldn't sleep or get comfortable. Does this mean anything? Feeling a little depressed today

Hun, if you are worried about bubs lack of movements - make a phone call. If everything is fine, that is great - but better to do something than nothing.

You are obviously getting close to D Day anyway and all the anticipation can make you feel a bit flat and anxious.

Good luck - not long now!
