    Acupuncture in Melbourne - induction...

Anyone use acupuncture to induce labour - how did you find it? Did it work?? and any recommendations for a place to go to in Melbourne??
    TIA

I havent tried it but (I am only 20 wks with my 1st preg) but a good friend of mine practices in High St Armadale - she is a Chinese Dr and Acupuncturist and she specialises in women's health... so I am sure you could call her for advice or a session?
let me know if you would like the details.

    Hello!

I had acupuncture when I was a week overdue, as I wanted to avoid an induction. The day after the acupuncture, my waters broke, but nothing else happened so I ended up having to be induced anyway! Of course, that could have been a coincidence, but I have heard on this forum that lots of people have the same experience (i.e. acupuncture makes waters break, but the labour doesn't start). Just thought I'd warn you...

But if you still want to go ahead, I saw a guy in Carlton (Winton Terry, I think his name was).

    Good luck!
