Mmmmmm, bananalicious - my lovely DH bought me one because he knows how I've been craving them. Though they are a little pricey - I bought 2 one day and the guy behind the counter asked me was a I sure I really wanted them as they came up at $9 :lol:
Friend's little boy's birthday party today - now staying good with that is going to be a tough one, but I'll try to stick to just a small slice of cake.

OK, so I had weigh in this morning (weighing in once a week on a monday - just to keep me on track). And I am very, very happy with the results! :D
Yesterday I wasn't perfect with my eating. My brother was visiting from sydney with his GF, so we all took the kids ice-skating (I just sat and watched) and then went out to the pancake parlour for Brunch. I only ate one pancake with a little maple syrup though (instead of the big fatty meals everyone else was eating, with bacon and sausages and eggs and pancakes), and I managed to have a healthy salad with grilled chicken breast for lunch. I did have a few other 'treats' I usually wouldn't have, like a mandful of allens lollies, two handfuls of roast almonds, a hot chocolate, a peice of apple pie and a handful BBQ shapes. And I had a homemade Laksa for Dinner. So although I ate some things I would usually try and steer clear of, i am very happy with how I managed - especially as everyone else was really indulging.
So today is a new week in my food journal, and I am hoping it goes as well as last week. I have just put dinner in the slow cooker (chicken casserole), so I know dinner will be healthy.
Dilemna - I now have quite a large quantity of apple pie in the fridge. I don't know what to do with it. The kids won't eat it. I cann't bring myself to throw it out. But I am afraid that if I don't do something with it, then it will be too big a temptation tonight (or tomorrow night) when the kids have gone to bed and I am stressed and bored and lonely. So any suggestions on what I should do with it???
neighbour? playgroup? puppies?

I hate wasting food too ... luckily, I have dogs.
mmmm... i didn't even think of the dogs, they would likely enjoy it tremendously: still seems like such a shame to give it too them - it is very nice.... I am trying to think of who I could invite around, so i can feed them up, LOL. Might put it in the freezer until I decide what to do - just to make it a bit harder to cave (I would have to defrost it then which is slightly more effort :lol: )
Hi girls.
Just joining in here for a little support :) I have already put on too much weight and its really hard on me as I lost 50kg before I fell pregnant. I work for Weight Watchers aswell so its not a good look and I know all the things im "supposed" to be doing. I am happy to say though, I have out on no weight in 4 weeks :D My aim is to put on no more weight (so in theroy, im losing weight) or to be a lower weight than I am now when I give birth.
Im having a bad time today... I have no idea what to have for lunch!!! I had eggs yesterday, salad wrap the day before. We go shopping this week, so theres not a huge variety left. Ive got some multigrain bread.. so Im thinking of having some toast with tuna & low fat mayo..??

I am having the same debate with lunch today. I just got the boys a sandwich each, but cann't decide what I should have. I am leaning towards a tuna and salad sandwich myself (just tuna, cheese, lettuce and carrot - because that's all I have in the house).

I did have my tuna toast for lunch, was pretty good actually and has given me a good energy boost. Im about to go cut up some fruit and toss it in a bowl with a spoonful of low fat yogurt :) I have found, especially now, I need to have morning tea and afternoon tea to stop me snacking on junk food. The gap between breakfast, lunch & tea is too much to handle atm.. is anyone else finding that?
Working tonight, which means Im weighing in aswell. Those scales never fail to make me nervous!!

Ended up having a tuna cheese and lettuce sandwich - was too lazy to grate the carrot. Unfortunately, I also ended up having some apple pie as well - not good, especially when I looked it up and it was 10 Propoints!! yikes. Lucky I have a really good healthy dinner cooking. The last of the pie is in the freezer.
I know what you mean about weigh ins. Mind you when I know I have been good all week, I usually cann't wait to stand on those scales - it's those weeks where I haven't tracked properly that I feel like avoiding them.
I have had such a 'lazy' day today. Sitting down most of the day, trying to recover from yesterdays activities. At least I'm not stiff and sore any more - but I find when I don't keep busy I am more likely to simply snack all day.
Well you girls should be proud of me, I am. i just went and took the rest of the apple pie and fed it to the dogs! I realised that I was just kidding myself about being able to keep it in the freeser and not touch it, so it's gone. :D

I was naughty - had two dim sims on the train home. kidded myself that it would help with the heartburn. shock horror, didn't work.
Just a whole bunch of fat and salt for extra heartburn.
was ok for the rest of the day, though. Fruit, veg, meat and salad sandwich, water.
Not too shabby really - having cravings for vegemite at the moment, so wholemeal muffins have been keeping that at bay without resorting to white bread, which wound up counting for both breakfast and lunch cause that was all I felt like eating.
Dinner is going to be chicken with a little mashed potato and steamed veggies.
just updating how i am going with my weight.
I am writing doen everything i am eating, still wearing my pedometer,^6000 steps per day min. started pregnastics ( exercise classes for pregnant ladies at the hospital run by the physio dept) also trying to walk more, parking furthur away etc and getting a few extra steps in each day.
I was so good today as i so so wanted a bag of lollies but i got come chcken and i am making apricot chicken for dinner, it's in the slow cooker now. mmmmmmmmmmmm. i felt so good to make a good choice and i got no junk, no chips, no choc bics, i was strong.
i have been eating less and trying to be better with some psyllium husks and chia seeds to help me be more regular and fill me up more. i have halved my sugar ( half teaspoon) in my herbal tea and cutting out milk milo.
so i think i step in the right direction.

JBM - WooHoo on skipping the lollies!! It can be soooo hard sometimes cann't it. (especially if you are anything like me and get to thinking "I deserve it.")- you sound like you have things under control at the moment.
CK - I Looovvee vegemite, but I try to avoid bread more often nowdays because I tend to eat too much once I get started (unless it is the very very grainy stuff), I like my vegemite on 9-Grain Vitawheat. Yummy.
Peanutter - Hate the heartburn. I only ever get it when I am pregnant. I constantly have a pack of rennie tablets on me. But (surprise, surprise) I find when I mostly stick to the healthy fresh produce (ie, fresh fruit vege and meat) then I don't get it as often. My guilty indulgance that sets off the heartburn horribly (but I am so bad at saying 'no' too) is this walnut and capsicum dip from the local turkish place. Very oily. And the heartburn is horrendous.
I went to check out Costco today with my dad who is a member (it has recently opened here in Canberra), and I have decided I definitely have to get myself membership. Only I am definitely going to have to avoid the lollie aisle! OMG!!! I could go crazy in there, and everything is bulk - so if you buy a packet of lollies it is a HUGE packet of lollies.
Poo - I'm running out of my lovely macadamia muesli that I sprinkle on top of my porridge in the morning. Going to have to get some more, because it keeps me full, tastes delicious and prevents me from adding skads of sugar :)
Milo is one of my other little indulgences, but I do try to restrict myself to one glass per day of low fat milk plus the little bit for my breakfast. Am otherwise going nuts for cherries at the moment, thank goodness for winter season produce meaning I can have them and not pay an arm and a leg
I love milo, but we don't buy it in this house because my DH cann't stop himself from eating it all. He will get a glass three quarters full of milo and one quarter full of milk. :rolleyes:
I've been up and down with eating.
2 carrots for brekky, then a custard scroll for morning tea.
then mayb 1/2 cup stirfry with rice (couldn't eat anymore) and half a cup of fruit (again, couldn't finish it) for lunch, then a slice of hedgehog for arvo tea.
loads of jasmine tea (can't stand the look of my beloved coffee at the moment ... must be UTD!!)
another carrot for supper (late dinner tonight).
and then pasta with tom sauce for dinner. still ravenous.
have some pepsi now, but am hungries :(
want more pasta.
I've had a bit of a weird old day. Lunch was nothing special, a chicken sandwich. Had a freddo for afternoon tea and then only felt like baked beans and toast for dinner. But that may have been due to having lost my lunch in a most undignified manner (I spewed in the street, so embarrassed!) and was feeling delicate still.
Off to the Dr tomorrow for a checkup.
