I keep on looking at my exercise bike, knowing I should get back on it ... but it's still quite uncomfortable, post surgery ... boo.
Today I had an up'n'go and slice of banana bread for brekky, an apple and two mandarins for snacks, beef & barley soup with a slice of wholemeal bread with butter and another slice of babana bread for lunch, then a small serve of pasta with dolmio sauce and some cheese for dinner ...
dinner didn't sit well ... I'm trying to have some mineral water or something, maybe some steamed potato ...

Went for a swim after work tonight - ooooohhhhhhhhh laying back floating weightlessly in deep water is bliss!
Had a lovely mushroom soup for lunch, then mince and veg for dinner cooked by my lovely DH. He's awesome.

crankykitten: i really wanna do swimming and i've enevn been looking online at some bathers that will be more chlorine resistant. living in tassie you need these ones as i would never go swimming outside or hardly ever anyway. lol. i love that your DH cooked dinner too. lap it up. have a great week.
well i blew it this mrn, took the kids to school with no breaky for me that is. then i got honey soy chips and chico babies as well as a cherry ripe bar ?????????????
who knows what i was thinking ?
back on track now though.
-
I need new bathers too - my boobs are spilling out the top, thank goodness for my rash shirt...thinking I might get a tank top style so it's not mission impossible to bf in them later on as being in Perth we spend about half the summer either at the beach or the pools.
Breakfast this morning was less than flash - bacon and egg sandwich on the way to work because I was starving and craving protein. Got another one of those all too easy to be naughty morning teas at work today, so will have to go super-healthy for dinner I think.
Loving winter cherry season though.
-
oh dear, I didn't even think about needing some swimmers to do aqua.... damn, there goes that plan....
-
not doing too well today ... not eating badly, just nothing is curbing the m/s. it's awful.
am eating some steak and potato now ... and once it's settled, I'm off to bed, and praying that I feel less sick tomorrow!
-
Hope you are all doing well and on track with your healthy eating. I have to bake a cake tonight, to take to a catch up with friends tomorrow. I also have to put together some snack food so I don't just eat crap all day. I hope I get through tomorrow without too much damage.
We have had such nice weather here in the last couple of days, went to the park with the kids and some friends yesterday - sadly the 500m walk there has really stuffed up my hips and pelvis for today. They are soooo achy.
Peanutter - hope the sickness eases up for you.
-
it actually hasn't been too bad today ... I went to bed early (around 8 or 9) and got up around 9 - am working from home today, as have a sore throat and sinuses blocked from here to Broome.
Haven't been great with the food - raisin bread for brekky and microwave pizza for lunch (but it had vegetables on it ...?) and water with slices of lemon.
But not too much m/s.
Am praying that it's linked to being further into the pg, and *not* because I'm at home! Working from home is not a realistic method to keep the m/s at bay. Nor is it conducive to eating well, apparently!
-
Been terrible today. Woke up shockingly bad tempered and hormonal (poor DH bore the brunt of it), work hasn't been fab and so I've blown out with some really unhealthy comfort foods.
Tomorrow is a new day.

OK. I have to come clean. I was ssoooo desperate for something sugary last night, and I don't keep junk food in the house (and all the kids were asleep in bed so I couldn't go out and buy something) - sssooooo I got a spoon and the packet of icing sugar and sat down and ate some.
I still tracked it all in my food journal, and managed to stay within my allowance - but it is still a bit shameful.
I am going well today, Having only eaten healthy and filling foods. FX i stay on track tonight. No idea what I am going to do for dinner. I don't feel like cooking, and take-away isn't very apealling or very healthy. Any suggestions for something not too bad which take NO prepration on my part? Feeling seriously lazy at the moment.

Hi girls,
Thought Id join this thread if thats ok!
Ive just gone 5 weeks and this is my 2nd pregnancy. My first was IVF and this one was natural  which came as a BIG surprise!
I gained lots during IVF and my first pregnancy. I then got back down to 100kgs but it slowly crept back up again. I finally decided that this is it and in January this year I joined Jenny Craig. Lost 10 kgs with them which was GREAT but then I found the food to get a bit monotonous so decided to try BodyTrim which is a high protein/low carb diet. I lost another 2 kgs on that before falling pregnant. So Im now weighing in at
102 kgs and Im only 5ft 3 so not very tall!
I had high blood pressure last pregnancy and ended up on medication. I am DESPERATELY trying not to gain much weight this time around as I found it really difficult last time with all the extra, extra weight.
After having my son, my ob told me that he would "ideally" like me to be 85kgs if I fell pregnant again...oops! This pregnancy wasnt planned and I did hope to lose some more weight but things happen and Im WRAPPED to have fallen pregnant naturally when the odds were against me :D
I too am trying to eat healthily and have made home-made soups the last 2 weeks which I have been eating for lunch. For brekky I generally eat 2 pieces of toast with either vegemite or make a toasted sandwich with ham and cheese. I try to eat a piece of fruit for morning and afternoon tea and dinner, well thats whatever I can be bothered cooking, lol. No...Ive been trying to eat plenty of veggies with some sort of protein for dinner. With all the diets I have been on, I know what the healthy options are and its just a matter of choosing them and sticking to it!
Im not good with drinking water and know I need to increase my intake and need to do some regular exercise too.
Its nice to have other girls to share this with. :D

Last night wound up having tom yum soup for dinner. Was pretty tasty actually, and since my innards are mostly squashed I was full after entree size.
Having vegemite cravings today, so vegemite toast for breakfast and a vegemite/cheese roll for lunch.
No prep, healthy and tasty? Hmmm, tough call unless you can hook up with a good thai place that does a fresh chicken stir-fry. Something like ginger chicken or chicken lemongrass is really yum, and it's all veggies/meat (and a little rice if you like, but some days I skip that) with soy based sauces rather than oils. Hmmm, come to think of it, I could go with that for dinner myself if I can be bothered digging out my wok.
Hi Miss Magpie - congrats on the pregnancy! More than welcome to join us.

i'm not having a good day today. cake for morning tea.:wall:
burger this arvo and half the chips
now pizza. whats happening to me today :boohoo:

hi all,
Sorry I havent checked in in a while, jut being a tad too busy!
So my diet is all over the place. Thankfully chocolate and most sweets still make me sick which is helping, but my diet is still very limited. I still cant do meat, pasta and rice are out and so are most cooked foods.
But generally
breakfast is weetbix, with milk and brown sugar.
lunch is a sandwich or rice cakes, depending on how Im feeling,
and dinner has been yoghurt with fruit.
Snacks are normally fruit or some cheese.
So all in all Im not doing to bad, thankfully the census work is keeping me pretty busy so Im getting heaps of exercise. So far Ive lost 4kgs, which is 2kgs off my starting weight with dd2. :D
But Im over being sick, and right now I confess Im sitting here enjoying a rather large glass of lemonade. Its the first time this pregnancy that I have being able to stomach the taste and I felt like something special..
By the looks of things everyone seems to be doing well overall. Afterall we all have oopsy days!
-
not too bad today.
an up'n'go for brekky with a small banana (pricey, but worth it!) then half a sandwich and some soup and juice for lunch, a naughty custard scroll for arvo tea, and sausages with salad for dinner.
bedtime for me. The m/s is so heavily reduced if I pack in a good 9-10 hours per nigh ...
but for healthy and minimal effort, can you stomach those lean cuisine type meals? not the greatest, but the thai curry ones for eg is only 3 points or something... as is the cottage pie WW one...?
-
i really felt sick all day yesterday and hardly ate anything. half my lunch and half a small bowl of chicken and veggie soup for dinner. just felt sick all day and even untill 12.30 this morning i was awake feeling sick ?!
i had a nice breaky though as i am feeling ebtter this morning. chicken sausages with tomato, mushroom and egg. i hope i keep feeling good today.
-
I am going off track again... sigh. Weekends are not my friend, nor is a messy house and a lack of motivation.
DH gets home late sunday night (so really, monday morning), so FX things are easier again once he is home and can pick up a bit of the slcak with the kids. He has next week off work - so I plan on letting him do everything for the week; I need a holiday, pity we cann't afford for me to actually go anywhere at the moment.
-
