Anyone Successfully use chinese herbs/medicine for Morning Sickness?
Just wondering if anyone has or is using chinese herbs or medicine to stop morning sickness or lessen its severity. We have been discussing trying for our second bub and I am really worried about having bad all day all night sickness again.
I feel bad that I may be sick and will miss out on time with Georgia etc.
I'd clear it with your GP first. Many herbs are dangerous during pregnancy.
I took the Blackmores Morning Sickness tablets but I can't say they did much. Callipo icy poles were my best friend
ETA: there is a thread for herbal remedies in this section. I can't get the link to work for some reason! Have a look at the threads started by the mods in this section (ie Pregnancy General Discussion)

Ginger tablets, accupuncture and the couch were my friend. That and dry salada bikkies at work with lots of water. (and flat shoes that can easily be slid off for a quick mad dash to the loo when you do gotta hurl!!)
Hi Salad,
I'm not sure about chinese medicine, but i have been taking blackmores morning sickness tablets, not sure if there working, but am starting to feel better. i didnt have any ms with ds so it was a shock for me to get it this time! and like you said it so hard with a little one, but somehow you just have to get on with it for there sake, ds has actually been a good distraction!
just plenty of crackers, ginger beer and sleep when there sleeping, thats what ive been doing.
sorry i havent actually answered your question...i hope someone else can be of more help
I regularly saw a naturopath who gave me some really good stuff to take- I Can't remember the name of it, but it really helped me.
PM me if you need more info, I can always ring the naturopath.
I know what you mean about the icy poles!!!
Salad, go hunt down yourself a good naturopath, you won't regret it! I will often see mine before my GP.
I wouldn't recommend taking herbs/chinese meds until you have spoken to someone that knows what they're talking about.
