it's a booster seat with a 5 point harness for 14kg+. DS is a very tall boy and big for his age so it has worked for us putting him into this. They are pretty exxxy about $459 I think, but for about $250 you can get a SnS maxi rider style booster but without the attached 5 point harness and you can buy a H harness to use with it. It is one that will still be legal with the booster seat law changes.

We have a Maxi Rider and I love it, although we'll have 3 seats to fit in our commodore in a few months so now I am thinking it is too wide

We have 2 maxi riders in our car - yes, they are wide seats. We had to buy our 5year old the hipod booster seat (same price) coz its skinnier.
I think i paid about $400ish for the two of them.....

I have a Safe n Sound Guardian for Emily. It's a convertable carseat from newborn-26kg. For Nina I have the Maxi Rider. Can't fault either of them, but like the other girls have said, the Maxi Rider is a wide seat.

0 to 4 seat - we had the Safe and Sound Platinum, and loved it.

Booster seat - Safe and Sound Maxirider is what we use for DD now, along with a H harness. It is quite wide, but it is the only one that actually tethers to the car - or so I believe? Am happy to be corrected on this LOL

...the SNS hi liner booster attaches to car too - thats the one i meant to say we had, not the hipod (drrrrrrr to me).

Im glad that i am not the only one that seems to love the SNS brand...

We have a sydney car and a brisbane car (Dont ask) In both i have a SNS maxirider, a SNS hi liner and a SNS delux compace..

The maxi riders are just the best but i couldnt fit in two maxi's and a baby seat so went up to the hi liner which is skinny - it looks weird but DD loves it. It does bolt in and will do her height (she is very tall) til she is out of car seats!

All three were voted by choice as the best in their category...

Im thinking Maxi $400+, Hi liner $200+

Expensive but have had them for ages now and everyone i know has one and no one has ever had a problem with them

    good luck
