    Baby brain, anyone?

Just wondering who else is experiencing 'baby brain' and how you cope with it?

My 14yo DD made me write mine down, thought I would share them feel free to laugh at my expense...

    - I put the washing powder away in the fridge

    - we made homemade pizza & I sprayed the pizza with cooking oil, instead of the tray

    - I drove up to a red light... and through it.. just did not 'realise' it was red...

    - tried to start the car with the house key

    - apart from being very forgetful, such as I wondered why my cousin had't replied to a text I sent her.. then realised I hadn't actually sent the text...

anyone else? tell me it's not just me!!! lol

LMAO! I seriously asked my daughter to go to the toilet for me the other day! Felt like I was thinking about what was wrong with that for a whole minute before it dawned on me. She thought it was hysterical!

I also keep forgetting where I put things down. I'll go do something, go back to where I was and start looking for the thing that was in my hand before I got up.. Go completely nuts trying to work out where I put it, grill everyone on who took it. --- Its still where I left it, right next to the thing I got up to do. Or something to that effect. I am SHOCKING.

Years ago a flat mate of mine put all the bills in the deep freezer, she then went psycho at her then DF because she couldn't find them

I have been know to put the milk in the cupboard but no doubt will have many more to add to that list in a few months time.

I started to do a complicated review of an employment record and thought my this sounds familiar - anyway finished it all and submitted it for checking only to be told that I had done it yesterday... mmm no wonder it sounded so familiar!

I turned the tap on to do dishes and stood there watching the sink not filling until I finally realised that I hadn't put the plug in.

I burnt the vegies almost every night becuase I'd forgotten I'd put them on.

The worst I ever did was.......

I got a phone call one afternoon that my sister had had a car accident with DS in the car so raced out the house to go to them. I got there and suddenly realised that DD was still asleep in her cot!!!!! (mother of the year? I think not!)

I went into the boys toilets the other day, noticed the urinal on the way in, but just thought it must be a uni-sex toilet. Then noticed the sign as I was coming out!

my brain has turned to mush!

my work is an hour's drive away...one day i got to work and discovered i'd left my laptop at home

at an u/s a couple of weeks ago the technician asked me to put my right hand behind my head...it took me a minute to remember which was left & which was right - i just kept lifting up each arm in turn & looking at it for some sort of clue

we were at the football a few weeks ago & the score was 115 to 106. i couldn't work out the difference. and i didn't even think to count on my fingers

    I have:

    * put my wallet in the fridge, under the sink, left it at work
    * put things for the cupboards into the fridge and spoiled things for the fridge by putting them in the cupboard
    * forgotten that I got a new car and walked up to a car that was the same model as my old one and wondered why the buzzer didn't work and why the key didn't fit. I thankgod the owner wasn't around to ask me what I was doing. It was only when I realised the keys had a Toyota sign on them I remembered the new car... my old one was a Nissan
    * had to play charades with DP because I can't remember the name of simple things

There are others... I have probably pushed them to the back on my mind but as I remember I will add.
