    DTD after an internal (TMI)

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the question.... Last Wednesday I had an internal, last night DH and I tried to DTD (first time since I had the internal) and I found that it was very uncomfortable so we stopped. I wouldn't say that it hurt but it felt I guess irritated from where the horrid looking contraption the midwvies use was placed.

Has anyone else had this problem?? Do you think that I may be a bit irritated 'down there' from the internal??

Sorry everyone... but I had to ask... beats asking my Dr if I can avoid it!

    TIA

Its possible it may have grazed it a bit but not to sure. I never had any internals with DD other then when in labour.

i would say your prob a bit brused, what did the mid wife use?, i had an internal on fri and all the doc used was his fingers.

I'm not sure what it is called that the Dr used... was a metal type thing like what they use for a pap smear...

i recently had an IUI procedure and the nurse used the contraption you mentioned for that (is it a speculum? i dunno!!) - anyway, i ended up with some bruising for that, which made DTD less comfortable than normal....

Yes! A speculum is what is was called! Thanks for that Briggsy's Girl... also nice to know that someone else has felt the same. (Not that it is a good thing!)
