    Belly belt

After not trying my jeans on for a couple of weeks, they officially no longer do up - so I am down to one pair of trousers (I really need to go shopping). I don't get out much - so I was wondering where to get those belly belt things from? The ones you attach to your jeans so you can keep wearing them. And roughly how much did they cost?

You can get them from Kmart and Target, they are only about $10. Personally, I only used them at the start of my pregnancy, it is much more comfortable to buy maternity pants! But they are good for covering your belly...lol.

I think the one you mean is the pack with the little elastic belt bits with buttons?? If so, they're around $30 for the pack of them. Bra's n things have them and I think Target?? The ones Skye is talking about I think are the bands?? The ones which are basically a piece of t-shirty type material sewn into a circle which you can use to cover gaps between shirts and pants.

    Hope this helps!!

Thanks - I'll have to check Target out, and hope they have them (they're not overly reliable with their maternity wear).

I got mine off ebay (a little cheaper- aroung $25), but that was purely due to the fact I couldn't leave the house at the time. I've found the belt soooooooo helpful!!

The belly belts (the 3 diff kinds) I foudn to be USELESS! I could never figure them out and they didn't work. A band would be better but my fav was maternity pants that had the elastic parts in the side cause then you could adjust them as you got bigger.

Big W had them for around $25 when I was pregnant. I didn't get one though cos I heard they were useless.

Invest in a pair or two of maternity jeans. I got a pair at Big W & one at Kmart & they got me right through. I can still wear them now, even though I've lost most of the weight.

Bonds Belly bands are great - you get a white and a black one in a pack. They cover your tummy when your tops get too short & are great to cover your tummy when breast feeding afterwards.
