Best bras to use during pregnancy

I'm only 7 weeks 3 days along but I'm getting to the point now where I think it's time I started buying some more comfortable bras. I've been lucky so far because my BBs haven't been too bad but now I'm starting to feel a little uncomfortable and more-so when I'm in bed because I don't wear a bra to bed so there isn't any support during the night.

I'm thinking of trying out an Ah Bra but can anyone tell me if they think they are any good for pregnancy? Will they support my BBs when get start getting heavier or is a traditional maternity bra the way to go?

Also, should I now be wearing a bra to bed for the support during the night?

Hi, I know there was a thread about the Ahbras and that a lot of people did not like them or find them supportive unless they were wearing 2.

I was just wearing croptops to bed while pregnant with DD1 but DD2 I did not worry. You could also wear the singlets with the buillt in support I guess if you feel you need something.
My favourite Maternity bras a the hot milk brand and the bonds ones. I would suggest going out and trying on some and seeing which fit you best depending on your breast shape and size. Don't forget though that your breasts will grow some more and when bubs arrives they will grow again so you might want to do a wait and see approach before you buy to many.

I have to admit that my favourite bra this pregnancy has been my victorias secret one...they have a no underwire range. it is great for support during the day and nice and soft.

at night i tend to wear those bonds maternity built in tees if i feel the need for some support when they are hurting/leaking etc.

have never used the ahbra stuff though...so could be a winner?!

I loved my Cake maternity bra and hot milk ones. They still look nice whilst doing what they're supposed to!

I didn't wear a bra to bed until after dd was born...wasn't aware if I was meant to...

I've heard the same about ahhbras, that you end up having to wear a few to get any support, especially if you are well blessed

Yep another hot milk fan over here!!! Ah bra did nothing for me bit I'm a g cup so that's no surprise. Hot milk are expensive but well worth the money in my opinion.

Thanks for the all the replies girls I'm going to note down your suggestions and take a look at them. I think I'll steer away from those Ah Bras then. It doesn't sound like they are any good when you have a heavy chest...

I bought sleep bras from Mothercare. They had a crop top style that is labelled for pregnancy and a more bandeau style with clips on the straps to drop for breastfeeding for after bubs arrives. Both would really work for Pre and post birth, the bandeau style are more supportive (I've done Kindy drops off in one )
