Birth weight difference between siblings with different fathers ???

This will prob sound like a weird one: to mum's with babies to different fathers- was their much of a difference between the birth weight of your babies?

I have read somewhere that birth weight is determined by the mother (???)

DS (my XP's son) was 7pounds 2oz. XP is 6ftish and average weight.
DH is only my height (5'9) and average weight. I am tallish for a female (I guess) and average weight.

So, does any of this matter or is it a lucky dip?

This happened to my sister!!

DH1 = DD1 10pd 3oz, DS 12pd 8oz (!!!) both natural in hospt
DH2 = DD2 8ps, DD3 8 pds both natural at home

Pregnancies and babies all well, no gest diab or other complications.

I tell you we were all relieved the babies didnt get bigger from DS on...

Can I ask, Rachel, did DH1 and DH2 differ much in height and weight?

Same DH but very differnet size babies, first DS was 7 pound 2 then DD was 9 pound 10 last DD was 8 pound 4, I reckon it's luck of the draw. I have a friend who is very tall as is her DH they have a son who is tiny ??? And from her previous DH they have an average size son and one who is slightly built and small his for age.

DH1 and DH2 are very similar builds. Average size and height. Families on both sides average too.

My sister was very happy the birth wt trend didnt continue to increase! She thought her 8pd babies were little though!
