    Question Breech Baby - Acupuncture?

Just wondering if anyone has used acupuncture to turn their baby? If yes, honestly please tell me if it hurt and if it was successful.

This little one is breech and I'm 34 weeks pregnant. DD was also breech but did turn at 39+ weeks. The Ob thinks that considering I've had 2 breech presentations it's more than likely the shape of my uterus and/or the shape of my pelvis. I feel pretty informed as I went through all of this last pregnancy and know the spinning babies website inside out I never considered acupuncture last time though, honestly because I am scared. But I want to know whether it works.

And has anyone else had 2 breech presentations in a row?

    Thanks so much

I had a successful accupuncture session that turned my baby. U/S last week = breech baby, accupuncture on Thursday; U/S today baby turned. The treatment didn't hurt at all, just a "moxa" (sp) which is like a heat candle on my little toes on both feet. My accupuncturist used a very moderate treatment as she put it she wanted to "nicely ask" the baby to turn (I'm 36 weeks) not "yell at the poor little person".
I am going to have a treatment to soften my cervix soon too.

i had accupuncture to try to get labour started. it was the first time i had had it. it didn't hurt at all, the needles are quite small and i just felt a little heat. it was quite pleasant really. let them know if you are a bit nervous, they can take it slow.

I have acupuncture all the time, I just love it. I despise needles of the medical kind, but I have no problems with the acupuncture needles at all.

Although I didnt have treatment for a breech bub, I did have induction treatment, and that work a treat. Within a day I had lost my mucous plug and contractions started.

Good luck with your decision, and I hope your little one turns for you x

My 2 vba2c babies were both breech until after 37 weeks.

Still heaps of time for your bub to turn. I did my half handstand trick in the shower and it worked both times - cheaper than acupuncture.. LOL
