I just was , minor , but I'm 19 weeks and I felt it. My body felt it . I had my hand in the bottom seat belt like I always do , I don't think I felt any impact to my belly ..
I called health direct , they said to monitor movements and any bleeding , pains etc go to ED ..
Yes, last pregnancy when I was about 5-6 months along I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. Fortunately I was in the work ute, but was hit by another ute! It was pretty low speed though.
Was totally freaked out by it. Went to emergency and heard bubs heartbeat and as I had an appt booked with my OB only two days later got the confirmation then that all was ok by ultrasound.
Sort of. I avoided the accident but had impact to my belly with the seatbelt. I'm rheus neg so Ob did a blood test to see if any anti bodies were running in my system which would indicate bleeding. If it had been positive I would have had a shot of anti d. It was fine.
Yes. I was 32 or 34 weeks pregnant with my DD2. I was stopped in traffic when a car rear ended me so hard that she pushed me into the car in front. My stomach was pushed forcefully onto the steering wheel. I called the hospital and they told me to go in just to keep am eye on bubs movements. Everything was fine.
I hope everything is okay with you it's definitely a worrying experience.
Yes I was 18 weeks, our car was a written off & could not be moved as it was wedged into the other car (stupid other person who failed to notice they had a RED turning arrow). Anyway as precaution I was taken to hospital for a check & baby was well and kicking! He is now nearly 3 months.
If you have any worries perhaps take yourself to the hospital? They could do an ultrasound for you. Good luck, it is very scary the whole not knowing.
Glad to hear that all of you and your bubs have been ok afterwards.
I fortunately didn't have any accidents with my 3 pregnancies, but have been hit by a cement truck, whilst stationary at red traffic lights. Which got me thinking when I fell pregnant about getting a 'Tummy Shield' seat for my car seat. I saw it on the New Inventors years ago and it's a really solid metal base with cushioning which you place on your car seat and it has a metal loop thing where you put the seat belt through, so the lower part of the belt goes over the top of each leg and under the buckle inbetween your legs, rather than across your abdomen. Sounds complicated but it's not. If you have a car accident, then the pressure or any seat belt trauma would be on the legs and away from the belly.
I bought it online and used it with each pregnancy.
