putting DD car seat to the side

DD is just over 2 years and our new baby is due in march. we have DDs car seat in the middle as it is the safest postion if there is a car accident, however it is starting to get hard for me to put her into it, being in the middle and having abig belly now. we are gonna have to move her to the side when the baby comes anyway so do you reckon it would be ok to move it over to the side now?

It'll be fine. Put her seat behind the passenger side.
With some cars, you can't put a baby seat in the middle, only on the sides.

Not meaning to hijack - very relevant to me too though I am going to get babies carseat fitted this week and not sure what side. We can only fit one seat on either side. Currently Ds booster is behind the passenger. Should the baby seat be moved there? I suppose it should so I can turn and see baby - which I couldnt if was behind driver seat. I dont like the idea of DS being on that side of the car, but not much other options.

Salsa - put your youngest behind the passenger side, and your eldest behind the driver side.
We had this problem when we had our XR, we couldn't have a baby seat fitted in the middle.

I actually have the youngest behing driver since i get her in and out and my older two get themselves in and out so I wont them getting out onto the foot path for safety reasons. I have the unity baby capusle behind driver seat, no seat in middle 8 yr old sits there and a maxirider behind passanger with 5yr old in it. Before this bub my two were on the two sides as it was comfy for them and stoped the fighting to lol

We did the same thing hun while I was pg but we had to put the capsule behind the passenger seat otherwise DH couldnt get the seat back far enough when driving so Izzy is behind the driver.
