    very confused ..

i have had 2 HPT's that have been positive with one negative inbetween, i did a test yesterday afternoon as DH hadn't seen the slightly darker lines and it was negative Im very confused now 2 positive and 2 negative, Im 17 DPO so should well and truly be only showing positives by now, could it be a defective lot of tests and not showing true results? I would also be on CD38 which my longest ever cycle without being pregnant is 33, should i go buy a different brand of tests?

oh ok, its entirely possible, have you got an appt to see a doc? I think in cases like this (and I have heard of it happenening before, with good and not so good outcomes...sorry..) its probably the best bet to get a hcg quantitive test, or a beta blood test, find out exactly whats going on.
Heres hoping for a sticky bub for you, fingers crossed all is ok hun! xxxx

Hi I would def run out and buy a test. I Love first response tests. I would try and do it with FMU to show DH. My packet says you can not get a false positive so maybe you afternoon tests have not had strong levels in them. Goodluck hun, I have that your dark BFP is there for your DH to see soon.

sorry, I didnt read your OP very well! if it was in the afternoon, you may not have enough hcg to show it up then, definately do it with FMU.

i would def buy a first response test - i got my bfp at 11dpo with evening urine using first response and positive came up within 2mins, not very dark but definitely visible. i thentested again the next day at 12dpo with FMU and it was barely visible - had to tilt the test to see the line went to the docs for bloods and they came back showing i'd had a chemical pregnancy (egg was fertilised but did not implant) - my hcg came back at 10 and 3 days later AF started - I hope this isn't the case for you hun

Definitely get a First Response or Discover one step, I trust their accuracy over any other tests
