Hmm I know my SIL conceived her last baby on day 22 of her cycle.
I'm assuming thats a 28 day cycle as well.
And (as far as I know) Miss M was conceived day 9 of my cycle - and I ovulate on day 14. Is that outside it enough?
I know it's not probable, but I'm wondering if anyone thinks they conceived outside of the days immediately around ovulation? Or have you ever heard of anyone who is sure they did?

I have a friend who concieved on within the first week of her period - about 2 wks before when she should have ovulated.
My old GP also has told me that she has had a number of woman/patients who have concieved at times of the month they 'shouldnt' have. She thought (as I do) that its to do with the moon and so on.
And heres a little miracle story.
Years ago when I did a course in fertility awareness, the lady teaching said in 15 yrs of teaching about it, she had only one couple who got pregnant at a time when they absoultely should not have accordinging to their charts and dtd etc... she said that same month they found out they were pregnant her dh was also diagnosed with testicular cancer and from that point onwards they had no further chance of getting pregnant again....
*tingle tingle* you gave me goosebumps Salsa.
I can understand people getting pregnant in the early weeks.. as it only takes one stubborn swimmer to hang around long enough for the egg. After all, this is how you try for a girlArimeh - we were probably about day 9 too when trying for Kayla.. and we got our girl
Since the egg is only available for about 24 hrs, I would think you'd be less likely to conceive if only DTD at the end of the cycle, unless there was another ovulation that you weren't aware of.
My 1st son was conceived on day 24 of about a 30 day cycle, and this surprise bub was conceived on day 26 (superovulation, apparently)!!! My middle 2 kids were conceived on day 14. When I have my scans they always say "are you sure you have the right dates?? as I am 2 weeks behind what I "should" be. So I have finally worked out the rhythm method IS NOT reliable!!
oh..and all boys so far!!

Miracle stories choke me up, Salsa. Please tell me more about this moon theory.
The reason I'm desperate to believe is that DH works a two week on/two week off roster and the closest day I can get atm is Day 8. I'm not getting any younger and it took two years to get DD happening so if I can hear positive stories, I'm hoping it may keep the dreaded 'it's never going to happens' away.![]()
So thanks for the replies everyone...I'll hit him up for some action right before he leaves keep my fingers crossed LOL
lol - of course, I didnt think of that! But I think of those double ovs happening at the same time in the cycle...
CB - I dont know too much about it but google Lunar mentrual conception etc - that type of thing and also google 'jonas method'.
You know how the moon has many things it influences - ocean tides, fishing, birth signs etc.
Best of luck or whatever is needed with getting pregnant - good timing or your own little miracle!![]()
CB - I think I've read/heard of diets etc that you can try to maintain a sperm friendly environment. Something like that might help you conceive if you can keep the swimmers alive long enough to meet the egg when you ovulate.
Just a thought I had in the middle of the nightLOL.
