    heart flutters during pg

I get the odd one anyway, have been checked out, and they are normal, however with this pg, there are so many of them. I had a holter put on me a while ago, but of course they stopped for a week during the time, so nothing showed up.

They have come back now, but the other thing that I have noticed, is that the tiniest thing makes my heart race like I have just run a marathon. I just went and cleaned the bathroom, and my heart was racing like nothing else.

I wonder if this is just normal unfitness, as I had a lot of bleeding early pg, and stopped most excercise, but the way I am feeling now, I dont know if its a good idea to start if thats the reaction my heart is going to have.

I have my check up on tuesday, so will be asking them, but am just wondering if anyone else during pg has been that easily put out of breath by such small things.

I had exactly the same thing and went for a whole heap of check-ups because I was so concerned. My OB said that it is very common because our poor heart has to pump so many extra litres of blood around our body / to our baby when we are pregnant. So basically it is just working extra hard and that is why we notice it (rapid beating, flutters and shortness of breath).

Regardless, though, I would be getting it checked out either way. In my opinion it is just not worth taking chances when it comes to any of one's vital organs.

I also had it and had it checked. All was fine and I was given the same explanation as Life is Good mentioned. Get it checked though so that you can feel ok about it.
