coughing when pregnant?

ive got a terrible dry sort of persitant cough at the moment, can violent coughing be harmful to baby?

In later pregnancy, it can help your waters along to breaking - that's what happened to me.

Coughing is one of DW's earliest pregnancy symptoms, and apparently in ancient Rome it was used as one of the symptoms of a pregnancy.

I dont think it will harm your baby but let your GP/OB/midwife (whoever you are seeing) know if you are concerned.

Just make sure you work on your pelvic floor muscles if your coughing is bad
