    Post Thoughts on Preggi Bellies??

    Hi

Just want some feedback regarding Preggi Bellies...

    • Did you participate in classes all the way throughout your pregnancy?
    • Did you find it assisted at all with the birth/recovery period
    • Any regrets with purchasing seesions upfront?

It's not the cheapest excersice program, therefore wanted to get some thoughts prior to committing.

    TIA!

I started pregg-bellies at about 13 weeks and had what will probably be my last session before the birth on Wed (due date is today) - so yes have used right throughout my pregnancy. I have been doing two classes a week.

I can't comment on birth/recovery as that is yet to come for me, but I have had an extremely easy pregnancy and I have found that the sessions often pick me up if I am feeling a bit achey, stiff etc. I have put on a fair amount of weight but people keep saying is all on the bump rather than elsewhere. I haven't had any fluid retention at all, my reflexologist is amazed how good my feet look for 40 weeks and I think the exercise has helped this (although as is my first pregnancy maybe I wouldn't have an issue anyway).

I probably purchased more sessions than required (I thought I could maybe do three a week some weeks - but never quite managed that) - so I bought 65 and have got 24 left to use post-natally. There are always a few post-natals in the classes and they seem to get a good workout. I am extremely uncoordinated and I like the idea that I won't have to learn new routines after the birth, they are just variations, and in the beginning you do the same routine as the pregnant ladies. (Also the fact that you are bouncing on a gym ball hides the fact I can't always follow the routines pretty well, and you still get a workout)

If I hadn't prepurchased I think I wouldn't have gone to as many sessions as for me the fact I prepurchased acted like a motivational factor - they are already paid for and would be a waste not to use them. The fact I have sessions to use post-natally will also mean I definately do go back. So no regrets on pre-purchase - if I did again I might purchase a few less as there are always weeks you can't make too sessions don't feel well other stuff on etc.

I really liked the flexibilty of being able to go to multiple locations and classes, I am in Camberwell so there were lots of options, and being able to change sessions up to 24 hours in advance also worked really well for me. A class where I had to go every monday evening say would not have worked out so well.

I would use preggi-bellies again for any future pregnancies, but I think I would also probably try to do a pregnancy yoga class or something like that in addition, because the preggi-bellies is a very good workout but might be nice to do something more relaxing as well.

Thanks wysiwyg and good luck with the upcoming birth!!

I'm really keen, and haven't heard any bad reviews - I think I'll give it a go. I'm feeling quite lazy not excersising at all at the moment, and I'm sure bubs will appreciate it!
