Cramps after amnio

I had an amnio done at about 12ish, cramps arent too bad but are worse than they were say an hour ago. is this normal???
No bleeding and bub still off his nutter playing

In the information they give you after you have an Amnio or CVS they say that some cramping is possible after the procedure. I'd say that so long as your cramps don't have you doubled over in pain and they aren't accompanied by bleeding that it is a 'side-effect' from the procedure. Please take it easy for the rest of the day. It is an intrusive procedure and you need to rest and make sure you don't do anything to strenous. If you still have cramping in the morning I'd give the doctor a call and see what they say.

After my CVS I had cramping that lasted a few hours and then it eased off but very scary and hard not to get panicked! Big hugs xox

I had a CVS at 13 weeks and I cramped on and off for probably 24 hours and was tender for quite a few days. I found that putting a heatpack on the crampy area really, really helped. It's scary but try to stay calm!

hi girls, crampings stopped just a bit sore at the needle site.
his results were fast tracked and he's ben given the all clear, so relieved
