I get a shockin cough about this time every year. I take a preventative asthma med to get rid of it and ventolin to reduce the coughing. This time i think i have a regular cold ontop of the bronchial asthma, so have really bad cough, runny nose etc.....
I am worried about taking to much ventolin, at the moment i need it every 3 hrs to stop the coughing fits. I cough so much i can vomit if i dont take the ventolin. Dr and pharmacist said it was ok to use that frequently, but am a little worried about bub.
Also i read somewhere you shouldn't use Vicks? Is this true? Can i inhale it in boiling water?
What about cough lozenges? or cough syrup?
I am having hot water and lemon, steamy showers and sleeping sitting up, any more tips?????
Vicks is fine (rub it on!) but you will need to consult a pharmacist about cough medications as some of them are not to be used in Pregnancy.
If you are still having problems with the asthma, it might be worth a follow up visit with your GP as you don't want to let your asthma get out of hand.
