    Deep Heat?

    MOrning Ladies,

I hope that you are all having a better morning than me! Morning sickness really playing up this morning!

I have been waking in the night and morning with sore back and aching hips - am wondering if I can use Deep Heat?? Will it pass thru to bubs??

    TIA
    Kate

Im not too sure. Personally i would rather try heat packs and things before applying any cream. HTH

Deep Heat or Metsal are both perfectly fine. I used them in my last preg as I got very sore shoulders and neck, and with a 2 yr old already didn't have time to soak in a tub! Every doctor and pharmasist I've spoken to said these prducts are safe, but to avoid Nurofen or Voltaren gels as they are anti-imflamatory.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Thumbs up

KATE, ... Just a suggestion ... When I was preg I could get a 30min physio treatment on my sore shoulders & back for ' Free ' providing I was going through the ante-natal in the same public hospital ...

I just needed a referal from my midwife or OB (if you didn't it was $10 for the 30min session ... still so cheap )

They would get you to pop your preg belly into a huge donut like pillow ... did it about once per week for the last couple mths of my pregnancy ... right up to a week before bub was due

Highly recommend it on the upper shoulders too !!!

Oh, I was in heaven - felt great !!! ... and the staff are all woman only working with pregnant woman !!!!

Thanks ladies! I will give it a go as a last resort. I didnt sleep very well at all last night as my hips were both aching and I must have rolled over onto my back in my sleep and I woke feeling very average and nausious!
Smiles - thats great to know! I have an obs appoint on the 7th so I will run it past her - I have to book in for my antinatal classes also - not looking fwd to those!
There is a relaxation place near me that does preg massages and have a bed with a hole for your tummy - I might indulge in one of those soon too - tho they are $65 for a n hour! Ouch
    Thanks again all!
