Did anyone NOT lose their mucous plug?

I'm just wondering if its possible to not lose the mucous plug? Has anyone had their baby without losing their plug?
With DS i was induced and i never saw my mucous plug so i don't know what it looked like or where it went (i guess i had one??)
So i'm just curious to see if anyone has gone into labour and had their bubs without losing theirs?
Also for those who have, what did it look like? Was it like a big jelly mucous blob (thats how i imagine it) or was it more like discharge? If it was how did you know it wasn't just discharge?
I know it sounds silly but i've been checking each time i go to the toilet to see if anything is there as i kind of want to see it this time (gross i know). I've been getting TONS of BH contractions the last few days and bub is 2/5 engaged and really low so i'm hoping my cervix is getting nice and ready for labour but no plug yet... ( i know labour can still be weeks off after losing the plug but i sign things are happening would be nice)
Any thoughts/experiences would be great thanks

Everyone loses their mucus plug it's just wether they see it or not. It can come out as a whole plug (looks like a tampon in size) or as discharge, normally blood in the discharge or plug is a good sign. You might not lose your plug until just before bubs is born, everyones different, I'm sure if you come across it you'll know! Both times my plug has been clumps of mucus with blood init!
    Hope this helps,

I only lost mine with my 1st and 4th babys. With my 2nd it came away during transition and I have no idea when it came away with my 3rd. And not losing it before labour doesn't mean that you will go over, nor does losing it early mean that you will go early.

Out of my four pg's I've never once seen my mucus plug, I'm the same everytime I go to the loo I'm looking to see if it's there.

With #1 it came away with my waters when they broke. #2 it came out in jelly clumps with blood in it about 12 hours before labour started.

I lost it - eventually! With DS1 it must have happened when the ruptured my membranes. With DS2 I heard the mw say "there's your show" - it happened at the same time as the contraction which made me want to start pushing when I was fully dilated!

I lost mine in bits throughout the day that I went into labour (while in prelabour).

Mine wasn't a "plug" it was very similar to fertile CM but just more of it than what you would normally get during a cycle. It kept coming out all day and mostly was blood tinged. I was expecting this big blob and it just wasn't like that.
