    Red face Do i need a full bladder?

    I have my NT scan on Tuesday and i cannot for the life of me remember if i was told i need to come with a full bladder

    Yes, it helps if there's plenty of fluid in your bladder. It doesn't have to be uncomfortably full, but they say to drink about a litre of water before you get there.

    Thats what i thought but i thought id better ask just in case. And ill have to make a note on the fridge to do so otherwise ill forget

    i was told to drink 2 glasses of water two hours before my u/s
    Now given i have shouse pelvic floor muscles and go at least 2-3 times an hour, I drank 600ml 35 minutes before my scan and it was fine.

    Ask just in case, with DD1 I went somewhere that had more advanced equipment so no need to have bladder full.
    DD2 i went thru the hospital with the average equipment and yes I did need some water in there.

    I'm pretty sure for all ultrasounds you need a full bladder...

    I know with my 20 week scan I was absolutely busting and had to go empty some out because my bladder was too big..lol. The sonographer was so surprised I held it in!
