i had really bad cramps on monday morning (around 3am) and just put it down to wind or bowel. then this morning in the am as well i got REALLY bad pains. i actually thought it was something bad with the baby cause they would come and go. anyway, i eventually had to rush to the loo. just wondering if i should go to the doctor? i wouldnt usually but since it was accompanied by bad pains i thought maybe i should? i have my NT scan on monday. what do you think?
I had some pretty bad pains like that early on, from wind. It was really vicious!! But everything was fine. I'd just wait til your scan, then you can see everything's ok. Hopefully it goes away for you but I think it's quite normal.
Among other reasons, since you can't have, when pregnant, lots of medications that would normally be fine, it might be a better idea to seek advice before a problem gets really bad.
What kind of vitamins are you taking? I remember when I was pregnant with DS, my body didn't like the vitamins I was taking, and I would have the worst tummy pains - it was sooo bad... but then I changed and my belly pain went away...
Then when I was pregnant with DD I had bad tummy pains because I got gastro FIVE times during that pregnancy. I went to the doc the first time cos i was only 8 weeks and was worried about the baby - but bubs was fine - all tucked away safe and sound!!! Try not to worry too much.
i am on the same vitamins as i was with first pregnancy so i dont think its that. i have been taking benefibre though, i usually have metamucil but benefibre was cheaper. i have had diharrea HEAPs of times this pregnancy too, i had it while at the end of TWW and then a couple more times since then too, but not with the cramps as well. worse case scenario, if it is a miscarriage then they cant really do anything about it this early on can they except order a scan, but i am having a scan in a few days anyway.??
i havent had anymore pains since i have been to the loo a few times so i think i will just wait and see how it pans out.
Hey there!
I have had the same thing, including in the TWW. I don;t know if it's because everything in there is a little more sensitive after already having a bub?
Anyway, had it 4-5 tims during TWW and have had it a few times since. I don't think it's too much to concern, but def speak to your DOC if you are worried.
I am not taking vitamins yet, but will soon.
I have had them so badthat I am doubled over, but they dont last for long, and usually after visiting the loo they are much better.
Good luck hun. I can safely say, they feel nothing like a m/c for me.
Hollo - I have had the same thing...
Pains, a few farts and then off to the toilet - a lot!
My doctor said he wasn't worried about it today as long as I keep my fluids up...
Good to know I'm not alone but I wish we both didn't have to go through it!!!
A few times during my recent pregnancy I'd get nasty pains then have to rush to the loo. Each time it happened it stressed me - until the urge to run to the loo hit - and then I realised it was just tummy pain, not baby pain. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
